Meaningful Community for a Pastor's Spouse

Being a pastor's spouse can be wonderful and very challenging at the same time.

Being married to a pastor isn’t just a role. Spouses have been placed by God in this peculiar field. It’s a life of faith, resilience, and unwavering hope. They serve as a disciple to support their spouse’s leadership and the church community with love, grace, and strength through every joy and challenge.

A Critical Mission Field

New England is one of the most challenging places to be a pastor's spouse in America

  • Lowest church attendance in the country

When church engagement is low, the day to day lack of relationship creates loneliness.

  • Nearly 40% of pastors are considering quitting (Barna)

This creates stress in the home and in a marriage.

  • Church Community Impact is in steep decline

This can make it difficult to build close relationships with people who understand the need for church work.

Pastor's Spouses Need Connection

Most New England pastor spouses journey through ministry:

  • 1

    Unequipped

  • 2

    Drained

  • 3

    Alone

We believe God is at work in New England

And we are called to help.

Overseed works alongside pastor spouses to help them overcome the challenges and grow healthy relationships, and families.

Our Cohorts help Pastor Spouses:

  • Build lasting relationships with other Pastor Spouses

  • Feel more equipped to nurture a healthy ministry family

  • Find an identity in ministry that is your own

And we provide this to Pastors Spouses for free.

Impact Results:

"I am so grateful to have been able to participate in a pastor wife cohort through Overseed this past year and I highly recommend this opportunity. My cohort’s leadership and guidance of the group have been excellent, and I have greatly enjoyed the fellowship, mutual support, encouragement, prayer, and developing friendships with the other women at cohort meetings.” - Maine Pastor Wife
