What we do

We are intentional in our approach to ministry improvement

At Overseed, we believe that real, lasting church renewal happens when pastors, leaders, and congregations are supported at every level of the journey.

That’s why our work is focused on building intentional networks that foster healthy leadership, relational coaching, and practical tools for revitalization.

We walk alongside churches and leaders to cultivate strong, gospel-centered communities ready to thrive again.

    Church Network

Given the right opportunity, Overseed will coach church leaders in how to pursue a path of revitalization. If the church is willing, Overseed will help the congregation connect with a revitalization pastoral candidate committed to the historic Gospel. Overseed will continue to coach the new pastor and church leaders through the process of revitalization.

Portland Cohort

What happens when we take this intentional approach into cohorts?

Read what pastors are saying...

My Overseed Cohort gave me the space to encourage other pastors while being encouraged by other pastors, training by a qualified coach who has ministered in the trenches, help in setting yearly ministry goals, accountability to meet those goals, and other pastors in my area from whom I have learned much. I can’t imagine doing ministry without this group.

Zac Stephenson

Pastor FCC Boylston, MA

The Cohort has been one of my primary highlights in meeting each month.  The community that has formed over the four years I have been there has helped encourage me in my ministry through prayer and friendship.  I have been challenged to grow as a pastor by working through good content related to ministry and have been challenged to grow as a Christian by working through helpful content related to spiritual development.  I have experienced almost every kind of season while in the Cohort: fruitful ones, dry times, seasons of loss and seasons of growth. And in each one Jim and the Cohort have been there to catch me, reorient me back toward Christ, and encourage me to keep going.

John Eger

Pastor Faith Alliance, Attleboro, MA

I would like to thank Jim Harrell for the vision that Overseed helped our church establish for the future. You helped us see that only by articulating where and who we are can we establish a vision for reaching others for Christ and strengthening our faith within our own church. Your help in guiding us as we built our goals into measurable 1,3, and 6 year benchmarks enable us to be able to measure where we are on our journey and make sure we stay on track.  Many thanks for your efforts!

Walter

Fort Square Presbyterian Church, Quincy, MA

"Working with Overseed was an amazing experience for our church.  The leadership, insight, and Biblical grounding they brought to the process enabled us to dive into the visioning process with clarity and excitement.  Because of the guidance of Overseed our church is better equipped to see our unique "kingdom calling" and have renewed energy to join God on mission in our city."
